Werewolves

In folklore, a werewolf (from Old English werwulf 'man-wolf'), or occasionally lycanthrope (from Ancient Greek λυκάνθρωπος, lukánthrōpos, 'wolf-human') is an individual who can shape-shift into a wolf (or, especially in modern film, a therianthropic hybrid wolf-like creature), either purposely or after being placed under a curse or affliction (often a bite or the occasional scratch from another werewolf), with the transformations occurring on the night of a full moon. Early sources for belief in this ability or affliction, called lycanthropy, are Petronius (27–66) and Gervase of Tilbury (1150–1228). The werewolf is a widespread concept in European folklore, existing in many variants, which are related by a common development of a Christian interpretation of u… more »

The best nights is bedtime with my legal pad
I confess I like nights on my own
Thoughts run rapid with the cold of the window
It's the time when my mind reached its crescendo

I'm fascinated by my imagination
If I'm solo it is my absent nation
I let the world pass by; I'm a tree
I could leave like a leaf or a teen

An absentee where nothing ever bothers me
I don't fear but there's fear in me
Don't believe in much but I believe in me
I love the winters because I feel more free

I wander around, hide under closed doors
My lonesome has got me so warm
Sometimes home is close to no one
Dance with the winter and hold the frozen

Hot sweats walking back and forward
I lose touch now I'm back to former
Thoughts now and I miss my friends
It was the smiles and the things we did

When my mind melts like a corner mound
When it melts all the things we found
Right there's where I met my girl
And there is where we called it quits

This whole world just makes me think
I'm blown away on how much we're different
And if we lose life for every cigarette
Then that's death littered on the pavement

I wander around, hide under closed doors
My lonesome has got me so warm
Sometimes home is close to no one
Dance with the winter and hold the frozen

It's one of the cold ones
Living in time and motion
Probably won't be living too long
Nothing can last forever

Taking it too slow
Soaking in time and notions
I won't be living too long
Ready to move it or move on

It's one of the cold ones
Days like name-brand whiskey
Distinguished. Bold. Priceless.
Biting sharply at our imperfect bodies
So, we layer up
Slide sights of skin under patchwork jackets
Happy. Proud. Freezing.
Ready to move forward
