Stepping in and out of closets
Thought I was done with this shit

I'm an imposter in my hometown
Judged by preconceptions
Sick of misconception
Misconstrued and upset

Sick of worrying bout opinions
Being told how to live
And leading this double life
As part impostor

Society tries to make you fit a certain mold
Tries to tell you who you are to fit the norms and labels
Paints this vivid picture of what's socially acceptable
From who you like how you look How you wear your damn clothes

All my life my identity's been assumed
Gotta act a certain way or else they wonder about you
People spend so much time just tryna fit in
Wish we'd emphasize how okay it is to be different
