Jack Frazier

Jack Frazier (1937–2003) was an American man who was taken hostage in 1990 by Saddam Hussein's forces in Baghdad. Frazier was a diabetic and was denied his medication during his time as a hostage, which was close to one month. This affected him seriously, as he ended up losing his eyesight from one of his eyes as a consequence. Frazier sued the republic of Iraq in 1991, and in April 2003, Frazier was given the sum of 1,750,000 dollars as compensation. He was one of 180 people to successfully sue the Republic of Iraq. Frazier moved to Nevada after his ordeal. On June 2 of 2003, he died in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, of complications related to his illness. more »

You're in the room
I play it cool
I didn't know that distance was emotional too
Smile on my face
But you see right through
You know I'm missing more than just the physical you
I don't know exactly how things changed
We were talking then we weren't one day
It was cool but then our snap streaks broke
Now I'm begging baby please don't go
Only time I see you's on my phone
Clear my history so no one knows
Can we get back what we had before
We could've had it all but you threw it away
It's kind of hard to move on when you told me that you'd stay
And it was written on the walls how we'd both end up here
Yeah I was drowning in fear
But now the waters so clear
I made a fountain from tears
Now when I drive
I just sit quiet
The only songs I listened to were songs that you liked
Pics on my phone
Only remind
Me of the tension deep within that I can't unwind
I don't know exactly how things changed
We were talking then we weren't one day
It was cool but then our snap streaks broke
I was begging baby please don't go
Every time I see you on my phone
I keep trying not to hold out hope
People change and then apart we grow
We could've had it all but you threw it away
It's kind of hard to move on when you told me that you'd stay
And it was written on the walls how we'd both end up here
Yeah I was drowning in fear
But now the waters so clear
I made a fountain from tears
