Iron Butterfly is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1966. They are best known for the 1968 hit "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", providing a dramatic sound that led the way towards the development of hard rock and heavy metal music. Although their heyday was the late 1960s, the band has been reincarnated with various members with varying levels of success with no new recordings since 1975.  Watch: New Singing Lesson Videos Can Make Anyone A Great Singer

A sentiment, a soft defense
Friction leads to a planned escape, a narrow miss
Bleed our pleasure
All this builds to the best and the worst of it
Not one world would allow but I'm still in here
This could be amazing
And I bear no witness
I waited, I waited
To be safe, to be sure
Old habits, old habits
Are calling to be cured
Sometimes in, sometimes out
Hey can I stay longer?
I promise I'll make it clear
And all along in passing time
Meet up seeking a power trip, a free ride
Heaven help me
All this builds to the worst, I'm the best at it
Make a sign, tell the world
Make the gods angry
Let's right this old ship
And I bear no witness
I waited, I waited
To be safe, to be sure
Old habits, old habits
Are calling to be cured
Sometimes in, sometimes out
Hey can I stay longer?
I promise I'll make it clear
I took off for an hour just to breathe
The heavy air is rightfully killing me
I'm thinking we should keep this out of the streets
Not looking for love I'm heading out
Not looking for love I'm heading out
