I went out walking the other day on the beach
Saw a man approach me
He looked very haggard and tired
Looked like he had been around
So I asked him "Hey sir, can I have a light?"
He pulled one right out of his pocket
The debris going everywhere
He said "Here you go man, here's your light"
I said "Thanks I appreciate that"
He said "No problem, anything to help out a fellow citizen"
I said "What are you doing out here this morning?"
He said "Oh Im just enjoying nature man, just walking around"
I said "Thats awesome man, I wish I could do it more often
This is the only chance I got this week"
So we ended up talking about music
We talked about my band
He said "Oh really, what's your band?
Do I know any of your songs?"
I said "Yeah you might have heard of one
It goes something like this"
He said "Oh Ive heard that before, I like that a lot"
Yeah he said "That sounds like those bands from Australia, ya know?"
"All the good bands come from Australia"
I had to agree with him
Its very true all the good music comes from Australia
I said "Whats your name man?"
He said "Harold"
I said "Harold, so glad to meet you today"
He looked at me and said "Hey its nice to meet you man
Its nice to meet you"
He said "Well, I got to go man, Ill see you around"
I said "You have a good day sir"
As he turned he smiled back at me
He said "You need to do this more often man"
I said "What?"
He said "You need to go on more walks man
Connect yourself with nature"
I said "Yeah I probably should do that
Thanks so much Harold, I'll see you later"
A couple weeks pass by
I was at the super market
And guess who I saw
I saw Harold
So I went over to him
I wanted to talk to him, wanted to say hi
And I just wanted to get his advice
I said "Harold, do you remember me from the other week?"
He turned around and smiled
He said "No, I don't know who you are man
Ive never meet you before in my life"
