Down in Georgia they were losing their minds
And New York was flying high with the bees
And Idaho had had enough
Connecticut bailed
California was out burning their trees

Texas and Florida were done with the feds
Pennsylvania was down on its knees
Oregon and Washington just sat on their hands
And Wyoming had its problems too

Ev'ryone was tired and they needed a change
But there was no one there that they could turn to
The king was overpowering and wouldn't relent
But he was "American" through and through
