MINT

Mint were founded in the Spring of 2000 at Trevelyan College, Durham University, following the demise of former band PMT. They quickly established themselves as the hottest band in college, and made headlines with their gigs at Trevs Unplugged, and Van Mildert Jam Night, amongst others. As a covers band they ripped up stages with anything from Beatles and Rolling Stones to Oasis and Reef. Then in Summer 2001, Mint recorded the seminal album Leaving It Late, with production assistance from Coastal Dune, another Durham band. This work set the standard for emotional, grungy, folky, rock and roll heading into the 21st century. The band played on until Autumn 2002 before going their separate ways.
