I was always buckled up
In the back seat
A couple of crazy sisters
On both sides of me

When I was seventeen
I was ready to hit the road
Cause my old man's preaching
Sure was getting old
Then I turned 18 and hit the gas
With no intentions of looking back
But he was holding on
While I was letting go

Just like the miles
The years go flying by
And I come back home

I put my Dad through hell back then
But somehow we became best friends

It's so hard for me to say...goodbye..
