It was 2am, Thursday the 12th January 2017, my taxi was coming in 30 minutes
I remained calm, despite knowing what was coming, it was just another day
My coach left at 3:30am and arrived at my destination at 6am
Here i was at the airport on my own, my flight left in 2 hours time
A long long 2hrs, my head racing, my heart pounding through my chest, but I made it onto my flight, there was no going back now
I was so tired but I couldn't sleep on the plane, my head was dark, dull and severely active
5000 miles from home. I was looking around, realising that nobody around me knows why I'm here
I felt wasteful, naïve, dragging myself along, no purpose, no feelings, emptiness
Just one day after another, why? I ask myself
Everything is so negative, the people around me, my thoughts, my actions and my efforts
School was a disaster, college was shit and unsatisfying, I wasn't interested
I'd get up and do nothing all day, there was no point, no reason anymore
But I want you to carry on strong, I'll always be there with you to help you through any tough times life has to throw at you
I love you
But I don't love me
Only if I knew then what I know now
Never then did I think I'd see 22
I didn't get through easy
But I came out the right side
