We're tired of our name becoming hashtags
Because y'all people wanna dispose of us like dish rags
We comply to your order yet you bang us up
Then you decide to shot us and now we can't just get up
Maybe not even shot us
Y'all treat us like shooters
Yet the real shooters that shot
Can't even get shot at
Y'all protect them with your life
And a bullet vest
Yet we walk down the street innocent and y'all just arrest
Us trust in the system is what they say
But I'm scared I'll get shot on any given day
I see a cop and wanna run away like I am prey
But I know wouldn't end well so I pray
Y'all say we are innocent until proven guilty
But y'all see my skin color as a weapon
We don't do anything yet we still pay the penalty
See my skin as ugly but I see it as a blessing
