Feeling ugly on the outside doesn't fit the truth you breathed within
But my face doesn't tick the boxes of this box I'm trying to fit it in
It isn't based on any reality just the lies that fill my head
So I gotta keep pushing stepping out against
But with God as my defence

There's so much I could say even still
I could pick out all the things I'm not happy with
And hide away with the shame I feel but that wouldn't be living

Now I've been angled in a web or two
Of taking matters into my own hands
Trying to change what's on the outside
To mask what's hidden beneath the skin
But all the worlds likes and compliments could never kill the root of the lie
It's only God who silenced them all and with his truth, I'm armoured for the fight
