By the time they hit the Power River
A babe was on the way
The men left she and the kids for dead
Headed on to Hot Lake
Well the newborn didn't make it
But somewhere deep inside
With her natives skills she found the will
To keep the other two alive....stayed alive

It was 1812 when they hit Fort George
Where the suns sets in the sea
And come Springtime she headed East
And made her way back up stream
But a band of Shoshone warriors
Killed her husband and his crew
She spent two long months on her own
Surviving in the Blues but she made it thru
