Talk to me real nice
They all want it till they see the price
Don't compare them to me
Don't compare me to you
Ohh
Let me do what I do
Proud vegan so I won't eat a soul
But fine with kids losing theirs
Making my clothes
Trust, I'm not the good guy
Done shit nobody knows
For real though
Oh, I gotta go
My insecurities are calling me
Kill the beat casually
In this casual tee, stacking casualties
Album 2 talking to the demon next to me
That's true
Did everything I had to do
To make the dreams I'm living
Now come true
Happy I got some Day Ones
To help me get through
Look... Gotta be smart and compromise
Don't need your stamp of approval
I note to rise
Bags under my eyes
So in the after life
I'll carry my good times
Time flies
I notice everything
That's the difference between you and I
Now back to the plan to plot
I almost forgot the reason I began to jot
What do you see when you're looking at the ink blots
Promise it's different from me
I'll never take it, but I need therapy
Never wanna be a wanna-be
Just listen to me
Used to be the nice guy
But they never end on top
Got so many bars
Had to make sure this one pop
Behind closed doors
Did things just to make y'all proud
Didn't think I'd get you hooked
How 'bout now
Never fold but sometimes you bend
They got niggas addicted to the pen
Like me
When I need a puff
When I gotta write it down
'Cuz thinking it ain't enough
Emotional, but I'm tough
Writing comes easy, what's hard is
Having to go back
Scrolling through the memories
Reached my deposit limit
But it doesn't make me feel finished
Got internal scars
You just see the blemish
Listen as I reminisce
Tell the truth, don't please
Got out the hood
Became the token playing the game with ease
Come on, you can't f*ck with these
GPS says home, but
I'm lost in my ways
Scrolling through the gram
Not happy til the number goes up
When I pull down the page
Social network causing all the rage
Looking for the likes
Yikes, what is my life
Don't need your double click
Just to prove I'm nice
Heart getting filled but I'm on thin ice
Trouble begins
I don't bring up old beef
Because I'm vegan
Was a heathen
Listen when I'm speaking
Hating Monday's 'cuz you live for the weekend
I can't be your hero when I'm filling for the villain
Still performing while they closing the curtain
They say, break a leg
I did it for certain
Goal's to keep my haters hurting
Keep myself in peak performance
So I stay working
If I'm showing you a track
Get off your phone
I'm not joking
Trying to show you everything I'm withholding
And you worried about your feed not loading
You're trying to like a pic of somebody gloating
Mr. Meeseeks couldn't get you to focus
Order up
What comes on that
You know I'm all about the sides
That's a fact
Waiting for someone to front my gap
Oh I can't wait to watch that
So I can see what they felt
I'm still holding the belt
Making tracks that let you hear what I felt
Used to be the nice guy
But they never end on top
Got so many bars
Had to make sure this one pop
Behind closed doors
Did things just to make y'all proud
Didn't think I'd get you hooked
How 'bout now
Scrolling through my text
Remember what you said
Times up I guess
Delete that thread
Took it all with a grain of salt
Now my pitcher's overflowing
Guess this shit is my fault
So much shit in my vault
Go ahead and call me cocky
Cause of the way that I walk
Am I speaking too fast
Is it the way that I talk
Over analyze what I do
Don't know about you
Quick to judge when they can't do
I hope this song helps you
Like his father had a problem and went to the pen
No cage for him
That's the difference between them
Both surrounded by bars
Battling demons within
Good and bad which will win
You see me as the positive light
Looking at my DM's, I hate giving advice
I feel it's never right
All day turns to night
Sitting in the cave, I begin to write
How I have no confidence
Dark turns to bright
Then I go outside
Called cocky 'cuz I did a move with no hype
Call me self-centered
My Day Ones keep me straight, fully rendered
Never skip a beat, hoodie on me
So I'm a felon, then
Looked down on 'cuz my melanin
Judged by my skin, when people of color
Are behind the suits your kids are watching
Give me a dirty look
And then I see myself on your kid's shirt
I grin, but it hurts
Wanted to know if I could make a bop song
Look I did
I've got a hook and everything
Are you proud of me kids
This is the thanks I give
To all the people that consider me the cocky kid
Not knowing what I go through on a daily basis
I know they hate this
But f*ck it 'cuz they faceless
Shout out to the ones that messed with me
Before the Tampa gap was done
Before stunts, when I was really having fun
Before I had to sign a contract, just to go on a run
Used to be the nice guy, but I'm done
