It's been a hell of a year, I think you'll agree
As the snow begins to fall, I can't believe
How much I miss the way 
That everything was, every day

Life seemed so good     
I'm a long way from yesterday

Looks like holiday plans are up in the air
No big gatherings for us all to share
The love that we all have 
For each other near and far

At first it was ok, we seemed to rally on   
We had no idea what was to come
We never realized how the simplest little things
Would mean so much
Not even a touch, not a kiss
No long hugs good by
Time just flies on by

But we know just to carry on
It's  the best thing we can do
Day by day

The days are now short 
And the morning is grey
Then the sun breaks through 
And the dark clouds give way

And Then Somehow we know 
That the best thing we can do
Is to  hang on til tomorrow  
So We can get back
To yesterday
