But women, that's a major one
Can't count the mistakes that I've done
To the girls, I've took for granted
I still don't seem to understand it

Don't lead them on, don't lose your way
You'll look back on it one day
And cry about the hearts you broke
The tears you caused, the lies you spoke
You can't control them or keep them
Caged up like a dove
Don't wrap up your identity
In the women that you love

Who you are is what you do
You're more important than a few
Songs you sing, and words your write
Don't give up hope, keep up the fight
Don't flirt with despair
Don't get in bed with apathy
Speak truth in all you do
To everyone including you

Be grateful for you folks
Be grateful for your friends
Don't hesitate to turn to them
When you are feeling at your end
Don't waste the years lacking
Any sense of purpose
You'll feel like you're losing
But I promise you that it's worth it

Don't waste your life dreaming
While time just passes by
You can keep your head down low
And still, have it up there in the sky
Be present 
Be patient
Be loving 
Be gracious
Be humble 
Be real
Don't be afraid to feel

Money isn't everything
Being poor is not the worst
The number in your bank account
Don't determine what you're worth
Question things
Think things through
But don't compromise your core
You can die for anything
But tell me who you're living for

One last thing I'll share with you
The most important of them all
Remember that when you slip
I'll fight through hell to break your fall
Your mother and your father too
And Jesus, we'll all help you through
All the mistakes that you will do
