Adia

"Adia" is a song by Canadian singer Sarah McLachlan that originally appeared on her fourth studio album, Surfacing (1997). It was co-written by McLachlan and her longtime producer, Pierre Marchand. McLachlan has said about the song, "...more than anything, it's about my problems in dealing with feeling responsible for everyone else".The song starts with no musical introduction. The lyrics begin "Adia, I do believe I've failed you. Adia, I know I've let you down." The chorus says that "We are born innocent. Believe me Adia, we are still innocent." At times the music is simple and soft, with little more than a piano accompanying McLachlan. The song does not explain the exact relationship between the singer and Adia, whether they are friends, family, or lovers. … more »

You just want your space
Slow down, what's the pace?
I can't think straight
When you're on my mind, and that's all on my plate
Can we just breathe and only think about the better days?
Why did you think that it was best for us to separate?
I just want to call and talk it out
Are you free today?
I can skip my class, if need be, if that's the only way
You hit up my, just past nine, asked me to FaceTime
I cannot believe of all the things that I was blinded by
I never ever wanted to doubt your love
Never ever wanted to lose your trust
Please just believe your love was good enough
Please just believe your love was good enough
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
We just need time, we just need
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
We just need some time
Look, how is you doin' mama?
Been a minute, hadn't save the drama
Remember back in the day with the pink pajamas
In the back of the class, we was kissin' commas
I need you, wait
Every moment, I keep feeling the space between us only getting bigger
Hardly lonely, but this a new feeling
All the homies realized I was chillin'
Thinking about you while I'm rapping in class
Lord knows you a test imma pass
I been working like I'm working that ass
On the text, I contemplate what to ask
Call the play, I had a date with the pass
This ain't this, I ain't bettin' on that
Tell you things but never worry 'bout facts
I got reasons why you hating on Crash
I never doubted your love
I never doubted your trust
I never doubted your love
I never doubted your trust
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
We just need time, we just need
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
I just need, you just need, we just need some time
We just need some time
