The grass in our garden was always the greenest
That was how things were meant to be
As a kid I lied down in the grass of that field
In the shade of our old willow tree          

I looked at the sky, I imagined the futaaah
A future as bright as could be
And all of a sudden; I still hear it's voice 
The willow, it whispered to me

'You know that times are changing'
'Nothing stays the same'

I wish I knew then what I learnt so much later
Illusions are all that we see
The friends that I had then all went their own way
Aloneness is my family
The past is long gone and that kid disappeared
The garden is now just a dream
The man I am now is in desperate need
