I was anything but cool
Not a geek, jock or stoner
But a do nothing dude
No class elections
I didn't play no sports
Or after school clubs
No homecoming court
I could care less
Bout some stupid prom
And no spring dance
I dont want none

I was tall and awkward
Big blond curly hair
Thick spectacles
I needed to wear
All the pretty girls
Had no crushes on me
So I didn't even bother
And just let em be
Wasn't mister popular
But I had my friends
In school we did nothing
Until the weekends

We get together
With a couple of beers
I'd play my guitar
I miss those years
Not thinking bout nothing
Just strumming along
No future plans
Cuz I ain't got none

We were in class
Substitute teacher
Total dumb ass
I noticed a book
Right next to me
Low and behold
It's the answer key
Next week the test come
Got a 93
But then I got caught
changed it to a 60

We walked to school
Cuz no bus came for me
Rain, snow and sleet
And the sidewalks were muddy
Didn't carry no umbrella
Cuz that wasn't cool
Now I'm sitting in home room
With soaking wet shoes
