There is something so dear that I learned from you
Though we only spent a while together and had some few couple of ups and downs
You helped me understand and make peace with some of the ways of God
There's a time in my life I thought I needed something so bad
Prayed for them and assume they are right and therefore God should provide
I would get so frustrated when He tells me that I need to wait
Oh Dad, I need this thing now and all you can tell me is that I should wait
Maybe I should save myself from disappointment next time
What's the point of asking if it can not be given?
But as time went by, I realized that I never needed those things
Neither did you deprive me of things I ever needed
Nor did u say NO, but wait
For you foresaw the danger of damages it might bring in my life
You understood that the right thing at the wrong time
Could be much of a disaster as the wrong thing at the right time
Now I praise Him when he says no
Glorify Him when He says wait
For I know His timing is perfect
And amongst all, He always has my best interest at heart
