Racine

Jean-Baptiste Racine ( rass-EEN, US also rə-SEEN) (French: [ʒɑ̃ batist ʁasin]; 22 December 1639 – 21 April 1699) was a French dramatist, one of the three great playwrights of 17th-century France, along with Molière and Corneille as well as an important literary figure in the Western tradition and world literature. Racine was primarily a tragedian, producing such "examples of neoclassical perfection" as Phèdre, Andromaque, and Athalie. He did write one comedy, Les Plaideurs, and a muted tragedy, Esther for the young. Racine's plays displayed his mastery of the dodecasyllabic (12 syllable) French alexandrine. So elegant
Everyday I grow I see more eloquence
See no equivalent
Beauty unmatched in this world we inhabiting
Such a pure complexion I guess dawe’s blessed
You manifest perfection cause the Lord was at his best
When he made you
Hate you never
Jesús blessed us
Cause your presence is a pleasure
A smile on your face is my everyday endeavour
Mum I wanna thank ya
For the rice & beans
For a life of dreams
Every night I see
How hard that you try for me
So don’t think that I’m taking it for granted
I’m forever in your debt even after the caskets
Even after the caskets
My love for you nothing can surpass it, Na
Strong willed with ambition to teach
On our good days we do nothing but reach
Reach into each other’s souls
And speak until our hearts are content
Like dad, I know that you are God-sent
To lose you now would leave me incomplete
Because me without you is like the rhythm without a beat
Middle born to the great Serukwavu,
Dad I’m so proud of you
Even boast to my girl about how you do what you do
When you do what you do
Such a distinguished man in an unrefined world
The might in thy word
Gives sight thy heard
But plight in our world limit your advancements
In this mediocre civilisation we exit in
You are nothing less but a king amongst men
Cause your foresight & insight is only matched few
Humble with intelligence
I can’t fathom how you manage us
Even when I went through my arrogance
Now I understand that lives are parallel
What I see you’ve seen, what I do you’ve done
Damn near flawless
Feeling so blessed that you share with me your knowledge
Dad I’m so honoured
I said dad I’m so honoured you share with me your knowledge
Share with me your knowledge
Patience, patience is a virtue they say
But my father, he makes it his goal everyday
There isn’t a time that I doubt his judgement
Cause to me its like he is God-sent
We argue, we disagree
But at the end of the day
I know I’ve got him and he’s got me
