Always smiling though his lack of luck
He wondered how would be to have a toy
Something to play with and to help the clock

He worked so hard all day and honestly
Running tap water and a piece of bread
That was his daily plate eventually
Under a wicker roof above his head

To talk with God each night was his better moment to 
Ask the Lord his wish, to reach the age of twenty two

Time passed a bit and God spoke to him
He told him, sonny, wait and have no fear
So fast he knew that time belongs to Him
The answer to his prayer was so clear 

Now he's an old man very wise and good
Always smiling and so charming too
Teaching of truth and love he's in great mood
Walking steady now he's ninety-two
