In high school
I wasn’t cool
I was just there invisible
People knew my face
But not my name
I was the shy girl
The school girl
Like they know my world
But they shouldn’t say a word

It was a whole different thing
I did my things just

I let them think what they want
All those years
Tired of feeling like I had to prove myself

I had a lot to offer but

Apparently I was innocent

Trying to be someone
Their world was only around school
While I had a life outside of it

I was open to explore

Apparently I didn’t do anything in my life
But I did more things that they ever will
They don’t know that

But once high school is over
They won’t be someone no more

Grow up and glow up
While they stay in the same level
Struggling in a place where
They don’t have a name no more
So one thing I’m gonna say is
Dont judge a book by its cover
And don’t try to be someone you’re not
I know who I am and that’s the only thing that matters
I have new friends
While they stick to their fake friends
I’m living my life and have projects for the future
While they go into med school
To have a « future » but the only thing
They think a bout is money
They don’t even like science
Who doesn’t have a life now?
