Right here, but so far away
Lost in a world you can't escape
Every day is cold and grey
I try to let the sunlight in
But you just turn away
How did you end up this way
And why can't you just break away
When the dark leads you astray
And the light across the water
Flickers... it flickers and fades away

I've spent my time
Leading you to water just to watch you
push it all away... all away

Let your world go up in flames
Sit back and watch it burn
Watch it burn
Watch it burn
You made this a losing game
Sit back and watch the tides wash away
Everything

Right here, but so far away
Lost in a world you can't escape
You won't face the demons you embrace
You let them in, you let them stay
Cuz you know somebody's always going to save the day
I can't make you choose what's right
Why don't you just stand up and fight
You've got to want to see the light
For every wave about to break
You let the tides drag you back
It's always the same

I waste my time
Leading you to water just to watch you
push it all away
Why do I even bother when I know that you'll just let yourself falter
Don't try to say that's not the case
And you know you could have it all
But you keep letting yourself fall
I'm reaching out
I'm reaching out
Cuz you know damn well I won't sit back and watch you drown

Let your world go up in flames
Sit back and watch it burn
Watch it burn
Let your world go up in flames
Sit back and watch it burn
Watch it burn
Sit back and watch your world burn
