Sailed the windy sea
He knew his ship from stern to tip
And named her the Annalee

The strong young crew
Each one loyal and true
They loved to glide on the oceans wide
Nantucket to Tuvalu

But a storm came wide and high
It swallowed the western sky
Never before had the wind blown more
And waves did terrify

It swirled around like a thousand snakes
With lighting flash and thunder shakes
Blotted out the sun as it grew
Struck fear in the hearts of the stout young crew

What can we do?
It's a monster storm churning black and blue
We'll be thrown to the bottom, we'll never get through

Young sailors listen to me
We'll dance with the wind
Like our own best friend

Up the masts tie the jib down fast

Then a cheer rang high and the first mate cried 
"Look off the starboard bow!
We're up in the sky, Captain's made us fly
We've pulled along side a cloud!"
