The Thought

"The Thought: A Logical Inquiry" is an essay by Gottlob Frege. It was published as "Der Gedanke. Eine logische Untersuchung" in the philosophy journal Beiträge zur Philosophie des deutschen Idealismus (English: Contributions to the philosophy of German idealism) in 1918. It was republished in Mind in English in 1956. In it, Frege argues against idealism and for platonism about thoughts, or propositions. Frege says ideas are private, but thoughts are public. Frege said that such abstract objects were members of a third realm. Frege also argued for a redundancy theory of truth. Quoting Frege, "The thought, in itself immaterial, clothes itself in the material garment of a sentence and thereby becomes comprehensible to us. We say a sentence expresses a thought." more »

Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another Wagon Wheel
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another Wagon Wheel
Spokes turning
Just another joke burning
Let my body go, hurting
I ain't doing no flirting
Just some audio searching
I been godly, no serving
I don't wanna go to work
Skip a class to get my learning
I been yearning past my earnings
In a trailer park, deserving
Of all this world can offer
For a hundred thousand spins!
I been bursting out and cursing
'Cause depression I been nursing
All this hatred for my Father...
I'm embodying his sins!
I ain't proud of my reversing
I don't see the town returning
My sound can turn to water
But it's poisonous to Kin!
Unless they come with worries
And not legalese, rehearsed
Then it's Jason on the altar
'Cause we hate to see the worst
We don't care about their hurt
Until they lowered in the dirt
And we shouldn't call that murder
'Cause then we'd have to work
You should know your worth
You're
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another Wagon Wheel
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another Wagon Wheel
My favorite cousin died
'Cause my Father racked a line
And sent him down a path
Where intoxicants were fine
I ain't even drinking wine
I addressed my own addictions
To the powder I relied upon
To get my dick in
Any women that I liked
Never tried to let them get me
Only fucking for the spite
Telling lies to make 'em let me
"Only love you for tonight,
In the morning, bet you'll miss me"
Where'd I learn that frame of mind?
Take my turn to blame the tipsy
And you'll get me if you tried to be better than your family
My cousin had to die 'cause you never look a tragedy
Right inside it's eye, you avoid the size of gravity
It's insanity, that you only mad at me...
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another wheel on the wagon
Just another Wagon Wheel
