I remember mid days spent at the roller rink
I didn't think the future had a hold on me
Back when my past was on good terms with me 
We would walk two miles for some ice cream
We didn't have the world but we had enough 
Mama did it on her own she ain't need a cuff
Me and my dawgs used to act real real tough 
Till my mama caught us sneaking and she whooped our butts
But
I'm too big for her to do that now 
Jokes on me cause she can kick me out 
I used to ride my skateboard till I broke my wrist
I used to chase down girls till I got my sense 
I used to think mistakes got me where I'm at
Then I found God's grace and he erased my past
Yeah He erased my past
I grew up in the Sunday service 
I used to watch Veggietales when I got nervous
But ironically I missed the message 
Somehow I loved my veggies but I forgot to eat em
But I finally ate my spinach and I got a lot stronger
All thanks to God that I finally grew taller 
Now we preform in local shows 
Making music videos 
Went to college on my own 
Finding myself instead of 
I'm still learning how to grow 
I got a really long road
But for now I'm on a stroll until the next episode
Just strolling

I still remember when the doctors said I couldn't do this 
Now I wish that I could tell em that my God ain't stupid
I've had some people in my story play they part as Judas 
I still  count my losses as my blessings cause I know they lessons 
I'm an urban kid at heart but my dad still taught me how to fish
And my sister keep on teaching me what family really is 
I've learned perception ain't the truth and how the situation ends
Depends on wisdom in reaction not the knowledge in your head
That's some words of wisdom 
Don't take advice that's in the system 
If you really wanna live 
Don't take advice from those restricted 
All my heroes are frauds 
I think I'm on my way too 
Cause I'm an underserving mess
But God been using me for good

To fulfill God's will for the servant's life 
And of course we know that 
Jesus was a king and a priest and a prophet 
He fulfilled all those offices
