Some days I wake up and I'm just not my self 
All these bad memories come flying off the shelves 
They be flying in my mind, when I'm on my grind 
They show me I ain't there for some people who I care for 
The wind is blowing, I hear it in the trees 
My body's tired I feel achy in my knees 
But... as the leaves blow away, I stay and wonder why ? 
Why do these cloudy skies never seem to pass me by 

Sometimes, cloudy grey skies 
Loom inside my mind 
Make the stories press rewind 
Raindrops on the glass
Are like people from the past 
Dry up and disappear 
But come round every year 

Sometimes I whip my heart, over past mistakes
I would change some things, if I had another take 
It's like a movie scene, made from your saddest day 
Wake up, turn it on and watch it every day 
I wish I didn't lie, right into your face 
You haven't been around, yeah I'm so ashamed
But I'm living my life, like I said I would 
Turned into a star who's chasing Hollywood
