John Mandeville

Sir John Mandeville is the supposed author of The Travels of Sir John Mandeville, a travel memoir which first circulated between 1357 and 1371. The earliest-surviving text is in French. By aid of translations into many other languages, the work acquired extraordinary popularity. Despite the extremely unreliable and often fantastical nature of the travels it describes, it was used as a work of reference: Christopher Columbus, for example, was heavily influenced by both this work and Marco Polo's earlier Travels. more »

These days
Who knows
What tomorrow means
Endless night
So cold
Stole the summer breeze

While I fight to catch my breath
Try to stumble to my feet
Feels like nothing
Could ever be quite like it was
When we danced through the garden of peace
Like a child in the garden of peace

These tears
They'll go
Til only memories remain
Weak or strong
We'll move on
But we will never be the same

I'm still trying to catch my breath
Still can't seen to find my feet
Feels like nothing
Could ever be quite like it was
When we danced through the garden of peace
Running wild through the garden of peace
Like a child through the garden
Of peace
