Well, there's a girl so young she wonders what she's done 
To make her daddy move away
And she cries every night; she's always wondering why he couldn't have stayed
And her mother won't tell her about the war on terror that her daddy's off fighting to end

And as that girl grows up she seems to always be stuck in an endless, bloody war
