Lost in a maelstrom of misery
Life takes from me endlessly
Leaving me broken and empty
Friends turn their backs on me
They even become enemies
Or just plain dead to me
Stepping back I take a look at myself
From the outside, what do I see
Hollow shell of the man I used to be
Torn apart and seething
Waiting and bleeding
Broken and screaming
The Reaper is calling
I feel myself falling

As I hang from the gallows

A virus consuming life from inside out
In isolation I wait for a sign that never comes
Venom rushes through my veins

My spirit leaves this hateful world

Wandering alone in a dying grove

What if I just fall down and die
So this broken forest may have life
May my soul escape and be free
Like a feather on a summer breeze
And may the pain of life just cease
As the noose tightens
My shell hangs lifeless
But I keep falling into the darkness
As my end draws near
Nature's call I hear
And I am released from all my fear
