One day she set out beyond the pasture
Then she was alarmed by gentle laughter

They traveled the woods, the trees were shelter

When at last they reached her home and much to their surprise
Father greeted them with anger in his eyes

Though these vagrants brought her home
All their good deeds were unknown
Seemed they stole the girl away
For their crimes they must pay

She set free the imprisoned choir
Delighted, she drew her lyre
Ran away to sing and dance and live life as a vagrant
