Nubia

Nubia () (Nobiin: Nobīn, Arabic: النُوبَة‎, romanized: an-Nūba) is a region along the Nile river encompassing the area between the first cataract of the Nile (just south of Aswan in southern Egypt) and the confluence of the Blue and White Niles (in Khartoum in central Sudan), or more strictly, Al Dabbah. It was the seat of one of the earliest civilizations of ancient Africa, the Kerma culture, which lasted from around 2500 BC until its conquest by the New Kingdom of Egypt under Pharaoh Thutmose I around 1500 BC, whose heirs ruled most of Nubia for the next 400 years. Nubia was home to several empires, most prominently the Kingdom of Kush, which conquered Egypt in eighth-century BC during the reign of Piye and ruled the country as its 25th Dynasty (to be repla… more »

We all
Been through some things
Didn’t know any better
Been through it all
Still we made it through the bad weather
We barely talk
Cause we, lived it all
And now, there we are
Through the lies and the breakups
Heartbreak, no make ups
Fussing and fighting
So
I need you to
Speak up
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you
I need you to
Speak up
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you. Oh, ohh, oh
You said it was you and me
You’d give up the world for me
Holding it down
Sexing me down
Ready to ride for me
And I enjoy your company
But when you get close to me
I don’t understand
Why it’s so hard
You won’t open up to me
You’re the one that I want
Best believe that
All these haters wanna do is give me feedback
But I don’t need that
Cause when you pull up
To my side baby boy
You know we gon’ be back
I need you to
Speak up
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you
I need you to
Speak up
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you. Oh, oh, oh
It’s a quarter after two
What you trying to do
You keep sneaking and creeping
Like I ain’t on to you
Then you fix up your lips
And say I’m too much for you
I’m getting tired of holding doors
But I love you
Don’t know what came over me
I lost all my senses
Your love became a drug to me
I think I’m addicted
Like I’m falling to my knees
I need an intervention
I need an intervention
Cause
We all
Been through some things
But
I need you to (I need you to)
Speak up (Speak up)
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the (Even when the)
Times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you
I need you (I need you) to
Speak up (Oh, oh)
Don’t you think it’s been enough
Even when the times get rough
You know that I got you
Baby boy, I got you. Oh, oh, oh
