After moderate sales for their previous album Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993), Parklife returned Blur to prominence in the UK, helped by its four hit singles: "Girls & Boys", "End of a Century", "Parklife" and "To the End". Certified four times platinum in the United Kingdom, in the year following its release the album came to define the emerging Britpop scene, along with the album Definitely Maybe by future rivals Oasis. My heart feel heavy in the morning
Late night session and recording, na na
It's about to hit a quarter past 3, still gotta do about 100 things, na
Oh
Stepping out the studio to breathe,
Feel like the world is closing in or is it me yeah,
Maybe I need some medication,
But everybody's saying be patient
Thinking its my time to just move on
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you, ay
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you
Know you speaking on me with your friends,
Never wanted none of this to end,
Distract my mind from you
Cause I don't want to lose that too
I thought by now it be easy
But you never gave me a reason, just want it to go back the way it was.
Stepping out the studio to breathe,
Without you in my life I cannot eat yeah
Maybe I need some medication,
But everybody's saying be patient
Thinking its my time to just move on
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you, ay
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you
I used to think (I used to think)
That you would be fine (You would be fine)
I used to think that I had the time
(I had the time)
I used to think that you was the one
(You was the one, you was the one, oh)
I used to think, that you would be fine
(You would be fine)
I used to think that I had the time
(You had the time I used to think)
I used to think that you was the one
You was the one you was the one, oh oh
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you, ay
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
I guess I really wasn't that important to you
To you
To you, ay
