The Thought

"The Thought: A Logical Inquiry" is an essay by Gottlob Frege. It was published as "Der Gedanke. Eine logische Untersuchung" in the philosophy journal Beiträge zur Philosophie des deutschen Idealismus (English: Contributions to the philosophy of German idealism) in 1918. It was republished in Mind in English in 1956. In it, Frege argues against idealism and for platonism about thoughts, or propositions. Frege says ideas are private, but thoughts are public. Frege said that such abstract objects were members of a third realm. Frege also argued for a redundancy theory of truth. Quoting Frege, "The thought, in itself immaterial, clothes itself in the material garment of a sentence and thereby becomes comprehensible to us. We say a sentence expresses a thought." more »

Is it cool if I quote the baby bro one time?
BLAQKNOIZ
Word to Roy Blair
FLVKO Beats, bitch!

Yeah, I'm gonna lose my mind tonight
And no one in the world is gonna stop me
Seen our empty hands, but went for more!
And leave out everything that we gon' need, Bad Company!
Yeah, I'm gonna lose my mind tonight
And no one in the world is gonna stop me
Seen our empty hands, but went for more!
And leave out everything that we gon' need, you Bad Company!

I don't get depressed, it's my natural state
That's why I'm always stressed and I'm clocking in late
I got a date with death and I'm topping his plate
Preaching "more is less" while I'm brimming with hate
I hate y'all. I try to smile and nod
'Cause what do I got if I don't got a job?
Yeah, I'll work nights! I'll take the shifts that you give me
And I'll stay nice despite the shit that you give me
And I'm pissed if you with me
'Cause I'm gifted and miss me
With the pistols of the piggies
As the key to the city
You can catch the fists of Gritty
With your actionless pity
I'll just get all my riches
Sitting, tapping a MIDI

Yeah, I'm gonna lose my mind tonight
And no one in the world is gonna stop me
Seen our empty hands, but went for more!
And leave out everything that we gon' need, Bad Company!

I been waiting for someone to take me out of slavery
Nothing less than 8 G's, f*ck you, pay me
Good luck, Mabie!
Finding someone smart enough
To spare me from my responsibilities
Looking for a donor, but I don't want to give a piece
Yeah, I'm gonna take heed, Tribe said "shady"
Good luck, Mabie!
We all know you dumb enough
To stay broke for the entire century!

And leave out everything that we gon' need, Bad Company!
