Nathan has a backyard
And I always wanna go
But everytime I show up all
I really wanna know is why

Nathan's Hammock smells like Listerine
Nathan's Hammock is a mystery

Setting sun
Homework done
Get shit faced
At Nathan's place

All those bins that are around his garden
Every sin that makes his soul a bargain

He's always been so kind
Jawline so defined
But soon I came to find
He's got a lot to hide within

Hanging loose and swinging in the shade
Nathan's making me some pink lemonade

Makes you think
Why the drink
Looked so red
Instead of pink

The little voice inside my mind
Said if I stay here I would die
"My my, won't you look at the time"
So I tried to say
Good bye

He reassured me I was welcome to stay
He insisted that he have his way
He swore he was someone I could confide in
in his hammock I felt trapped inside, then
He turned his back to me and I caught sight
Tucked in his shorts there was the kitchen knife

Tried to dash
But he slashed
Missed my neck
Knicked my calf

The killer psychopath deceived me with love
His burning wrath could only proceed with blood

Nathan could've killed me but his logic had one flaw:
We live in Arizona and we have no gun laws

Got my AK and I mowed him down
I didn't hear the boys in blue come around

They asked about the fight
I pointed towards the knife
I thought that would indict
They cuffed me on site instead

I cried and claimed it was for self defense
They said the court would judge my innocence

Soon then came the trial
I swore with my left hand
I sat there in denial
They called me to the stand

Oooh
I know that it's hard to believe
But once I lied down I couldn't leave
And then it got harder to breathe
He's sick
And his hammock is anaerobic

So I plead
Not guilty
Set me free
Let me leave

They set me loose and I was a free man
Everything had gone according to plan

Setting sun
Trails done
Got my knife
And my gun
