At Gollum's hand, I found the ring 
In the tunnels I thought I'd die for sure 

But I ran out into the sunshine again

Somehow we found our way there and back again

Being rescued from the perils in pursuit 
The Eagles brought us to their homes 
In the Mirkwood dark, we lost our way 
And the evils there would have us stay 
But we refused to have it so 

We left the forest into the world of men

Somehow we found our way there and back again

At the Longest Lake, with the Men of Dale 
This Dwarven King, these men do hail 
Our goal is near, we feel it so 
To the Lonely Mountain we look to go 
Through the Land of Smaug, we make our trails 

For the good of all, this Dragon must be slain

Proud stands the mountain; we brave the Dwarven Door 
Inform the Dragon he must go 
Mighty Smaug is slain by the Men of Dale - a fiery death 
Though their greed sends them to war the throne 
But the goblins come, evil is sworn 
The Five Armies, they wage a war 
Heroes come and heroes fall 
The good triumph - the quest is done! 
And we look to journey home
