To the ugly music with her friends
When she notices him standing there
So she walked up to him she said
"Why'd you look away?
Why are you standing there, looking oh so ancy here?"

He said "My name is Mustache Guy"
The learned each other's trivia
She wants to be an astronaut, dreams of taking flight every night
He has supernatural thoughts and he also sees poltergeists

The dead walk among the living
But only some of the living see
The dead are aware of aliens
Landing ever so discreetly
And everywhere some people go
Dead people they see
And sometimes they cling to them
In hopes they'll be set free

So they hung out every day after
Embracing each other's weirds
And when he told her ghost stories
She would feel no fear
He said "I wanna go to the moon with you
Yes that sounds like bliss
The moon just might be the one place where ghosts do not exist"
So they dated for a year and another, and they were free
They annually went to the carnival for their anniversary
And now and then she, in her curiosity, would say
"We're not alone are we? What do you see?"

A year later they got married
But never settled down
They bought themselves a cottage, a cozy little place
And out there in the forest, they couldn't hear a sound
So mustache guy only saw the unfamiliar faces
Yeah he saw every ghost that followed him around
For he was mediator for a supernatural place
But in there cozy cottage protected from sound
He could never see the aircraft coming in from outer space
