What are we acknowledging on the daily
What are we looking at when we look in the mirror
Man, it's so hard to see things clearer
It's tough when your memories define your current state
Feelings resonate as you try to relate
To a bigger purpose and a bigger plan
But we renounce who we are giving in
Lessons learned we let passions get the best of us
Unquenchable appetite Eat until we burst
Unsatisfied with what we have it's not enough
Want it all for free no work handed out to us
Adjust attitude no room from gratitude
And if you have more than me I guess I'm mad at you
Take ownership of I am because
Who I am is more than these scars and cuts
I'm work in progress, but I'm living deadly
God please help me find my true identity
Tired of philosophies and religions
Seeking wisdom in these worldly decisions
