Somehow or another I found myself in a forest
(And I was overwhelmed by it's beauty) 
For once in what seemed like weeks
It felt like I could truly breathe
(Nature doesn't usually have that effect on me) 

So with grateful but shaky hands I steadied the camera
The rain didn't matter much. The pain was imaginary
And I ritualized

It justified everything. That pleasure was momentary
But I can still get it anytime

Instantly gratified
I'm so strung out on serotonin
Perfectly postured and primed
Our windows are always open
Ultimate waste of our time
But at least our lives are good
