Verse 1: I_m a little too drunk to drive And my boys got my back so won_t none of them give me a ride I got on some whiskey so now I_ve got you on my mind If this was New York or LA nothing could stop me tonight From making the biggest mistake of my life Chorus Thank god there ain_t taxis in a small town Cause if there was I_d be calling one up right now Flagging down a yellow cab, climbing in the back seat Tell the driver the name of your street Watch the meter spin around til we reach your house Throw the money down and I_d be climbing out Thank god there ain_t, thank god there ain_t, thank god There ain_t taxis in a small town Verse 2: I_d regret it when I sobered up Me and you ain_t no good together, girl it_s better that we_re broken up I don_t know why I forget that when I get drunk Luckily for me I_m surrounded by cornfields and dirt road dust Way out where no ones gone pick me up Chorus: Thank god there ain_t taxis in a small town Cause if there was I_d be calling one up right now Flagging down a yellow cab, climbing in the back seat Tell the driver the name of your street Watch the meter spin around til we reach your house Throw the money down and I_d be climbing out Thank god there ain_t, thank god there ain_t, thank god There ain_t taxis in a small town Bridge: Ain_t no train running, ain_t no bus stop No not round here out in the boondocks Stuck and shit out of luck til the buzz wears off And when it does I_ma thank god Chorus: Thank god there ain_t taxis in a small town Cause if there was I_d be calling one up right now Flagging down a yellow cab, climbing in the back seat Tell the driver the name of your street Watch the meter spin around til we reach your house Throw the money down and I_d be climbing out Thank god there ain_t, thank god there ain_t, thank god There ain_t taxis in a small town There ain_t no taxis in a small town
