Struggling with Cry.? Become a better singer in 30 days with these videos!

Cry sometimes, let it out your mind

(It's okay to cry sometimes)

Don't hold it inside, got to cry sometimes

(I know all that's on your mind, your mind, your mind)

You've got to cry sometimes, let it out your mind

(It's okay to cry sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes)

I’ve been dealing with a lot this is my confession

I wake up every day with a death sentence

My skin color is viewed as a deadly weapon

There ain’t a day, there ain’t a minute, and there ain’t a second where I can forget it;

Look turn on the news it’s another black person getting murdered

Head to school it’s history teachers teaching the class that we’re useless

Conquered and inferior people

Like we don’t have achievements

It’s a cycle of generational evils that we can’t escape

Victims of a system that was built on hate

(Hatred)

When I leave the house my momma says be safe

We‘re both aware of the dangers that exist for me

(Black man)

This is being black some people can’t relate

We’re used to the abuse we carry that weight

But sometimes when I’m alone and everything’s ""okay""

The trauma makes them tears stream down my face

Crying now

Cry sometimes, let it out your mind

(It's okay to cry sometimes)

Don't hold it inside, got to cry sometimes

(I know all that's on your mind, your mind, your mind)

You've got to cry sometimes, let it out your mind

(It's okay to cry sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes)

I don’t fear death I didn’t expect to live as long as I have

Because I am black

I live in expectation of a confrontation that’ll end my life, go head and a ask me why, because I am black

I never thought I’d get to wear the cap gown

Graduate from high school even though I’ve passed that now

I never thought I’d make it to the age of 18

I got letters on my dresser for when I leave

Bet you don’t know that feeling

But this is me talking bout what I go through

This is my truth, and if it offends you

Oh well

I was 13 when I felt the weight

(Of what?)

Of being a black man in the USA

(Ugh)

I went to the park out where I stay

I was chilling when those white men saw me

They didn’t speak, they rolled down their window

And let a confederate flag hang

I was in shock, I didn’t know why

When I went home and to my mom, I thought she’d cry but she knew deep down inside that the day would come

When they’d hate her youngest son

Racism is something there’s no running from

I know that ya’ll can’t stomach us

Mamma told me knuckle up

What they did I doubled up

They make the rules, I play the game and they get mad cuz I’m in front of them

I’ll be number one

A skinny black boy who’s Lumberton, I ain’t no runner up

Cry sometimes, let it out your mind

Don't hold it inside, got to cry sometimes

You've got to cry sometimes, let it out your mind
