When Destiny needs a hand, Fate always has a plan.
Now both watched these two hearts travel Fate's course.
Where they would go, only the hearts could know.

Here I sat again today looking out at the sea.
Many ships have passed this way, 
but not the one that matters most to me.
So back I go, feeling lower than low.
Passing the temple where the Iris' grow, the wind whispers a secret it knows.
Can my heart believe what my eyes see
Beneath the bonsai trees, you wait for me

To truly honor the past, one must leave it behind
Keeping the lessons it taught and the comfort it holds, easy to find.
For the present is where the opportunities of the future unwind.

Your arms were opened wide, and I ran and jumped inside.  
We could not hide our feelings nor did we even try.
Sleep was nowhere in sight as we talked through the night.
There were questions to ask, answers to hear, and feelings to share.
Huddled together on a small leather couch, we made fears disappear.
The night closed in and the wind brought the sound of the sea.
We let sleep have its way only after we set our love free. 

Destiny and Fate are not bound by time or space. 
In a garden by the sea two hearts found the perfect place.
For what is meant to be will always find its way.

I woke to the familiar silence of an empty cottage.
The sun drew a path across the floor to the open door.
In our garden by the sea, I found the present that he left for me.
My heart bubbled with delight as my eyes took in the sight.
Nestled within was a note, 
This belongs to you as does my heart.  
Their song deserves a new start, it can start anew with me and you.
