I just look up in fear

I want to slide out of my seat
And find me some junk food to eat
I really could learn if I tried
But I'm not sure how brains are applied, (Ooo)
Oh my teacher's influential, but I'm not up to my potential
And when I get home they say, "And what did you learn today?" 

(I mean whose job is it anyway?) 
(Is it the teacher's job that kids learn at school?)
(Is it the Principal's job that kids learn at school?) 
(Maybe it's parent's job that kids learn at school?)
(Ya know what I think, I think it's everybody's job.)
(It's the Teacher's job, the Principal's job, the Parent's job)
(And the student's job to learn at school)

And if that's true,
Then I guess it would help, if I could discipline myself
And I could learn to do right, when no one else is in sight
But till then, I'm gonna say
