Just so I'd give her one more day a week or a year

With fear of shame

She danced the way I'd wish to see
Doing everything in her power to distract me

Playacting to arouse feelings which only severed to cloud my judgment
When she's confronted she faced no punishment

So deeply I felt for her
That the previous transgressions nary set foot inside the façade I built

But the issues however did not remain hidden for long and it began to tilt

Over it fell broken now the spell

Madness ensued arguments had
By the end of it all no one left but sad

Still I yearn for the intimate embrace of the one who so garishly throttled my soul
Ravaged by feelings to convoluted to control

Tormented by their vexing gaze
Flustered by emotions they raise

The events leaving a fresh wound atop the many scars of my past

Not really considering the lack of effort put forth prior
The pain I felt inside like a sickening fire

The majority of effort only to continue a lie
The kind of which makes deep feelings die

Found my ways to the passages of inner thought
Deeper and deeper unaware of what I sought

I come upon a large door
I force it open 'cause
I must know more

Inside there's a chair scattered books and a fireplace I know it
This is the place of a sorrowful tale by a world renowned poet

I look around and check the status
There it is the infamous window lattice

I turn to look for the bust of Pallas
The spot lay bare not even a raven to harass

One could say
Darkness there and nothing more
Goodbye my false Lenore
