I stay entombed
Inside a world
Where all light has been consumed as I
Languish
Lest I be exhumed
I'll die this way

I stay confused
Deride a world where fair hearts could be
Abused and in
Anguish
Beg to be excused
And not live this way

Then I stare bemused
I've spied a beacon in the vanta-black room
Is it an Angel
Or a wisp of rover's doom
I'll head that way

Cause there's no risk so great
Between either fate
As to remain
Residing inside of
Abiding this dolorous state
This dolorous state

In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed
But a waking dream of life and light

What through that light, through storm and night
