One day I was watching drumming videos
When I saw a funky drummer who had a lot of crazy soul
His name was Bernard Purdie and boy I was amazed
That's the same drum beat as Led Zeppelin's "Fool in the Rain"
It just so happens he was playing in my town
I took a drum lesson from him, yes it was profound
It's fun to drum crazy and sublime
But most important you better be keeping time

it was fun to imitate my drumming heroes for a while
