Yo, I'm just trying to figure it out. I grew up in buildings now I'm in a house
Growing up, planting seeds, growing grass
There's things that I wish I had different in my lane of being this strange
Like a dad who could tell me what to do with the pain of gripping the reins

Breaking my palms as it's pulling away I got no choice but to remain a man
No one to teach me to keep it all in Like being a man from back then
How to own homes and take care of land Get the grass in and protect it from pests
How to not feel like losing when doing your best

From where I've been it doesn't exist I feel like a walking miracle man
I'm gonna learn it however I can I'll just use YouTube and my common sense
Talking to God every second I can
What I'm talking about is how to raise your kids and tell them where to begin

When you grow up in the hood You're not learning this
But how to look out for each other Maybe it's time to teach now
And get to save them A son's first love is his mama
And I understand if it's lost he's a goner Make sure your son gets that
