Manasa

Manasa (Sanskrit: मनसा, romanized: Manasā) is a Hindu goddess of snakes. She is worshipped mainly in Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand, South Assam and other parts of northeastern India and in Uttarakhand, chiefly for the prevention and cure of snakebite, and also for fertility and prosperity. In Hinduism, Manasa is the sister of Shesha and Vasuki, king of Nāgas (serpents), and wife of sage Jaratkaru. She is the mother of the sage Astika. She is also known as Vishahari (the destroyer of poison), Nityā (eternal) and Padmavati. In regional tradition, her stories emphasise her bad temper and unhappiness, due to rejection by her father, Shiva, and her husband ( Jagatkaru), and the hate of her stepmother Chandi (Shiva's wife, identified with Parvati in this context). Love is so stupid
But it still has its uses
To plunge deep into your heart
Love is so reckless
It makes me feel breathless
So fun to watch it tear you apart

You might be my origin story, the reason I turned so bad
You might be my nemesis, baby, the reason I'm not that sad
Who knew bad could be so fun
I've got the power in my hands and I'm never letting go
What happened to the girl you said you used to know?
Well she changed, she's not the same

Timid, quiet
is that what you wanted me to be?
Pretty, nice
Is that what you wanted me to be
Cinderella, to your Prince Charming
Ariel, to your Eric
Rapunzel, come down that tower

Is it so bad to be this bad baby, you gave me a reason to change
Is it bad to be this fun baby, don't tell me you want me the same
Is it so bad to be this bad baby, you gave me a reason to change
Is it bad to be this fun baby, don't tell me you want me the same
pretty turns to sexy and timid to mysterious
Do you like me less?

Love is so stupid
But it still has its uses
To plunge deep into your heart
love is so reckless
It makes me feel breathless
So fun to watch it tear you apart

You said you loved me, needed me
Of course, I knew that
Because you had me, held me
And then you lost your chance
