The fake comfort eventually turned into a whirlpool
Raging around me
Formed by the shadows of my own fear
Demons feeding of my anxiety
Only pushing further down
What would they think of me, if they saw me like this?

Or worse, would they laugh?
That's where I found my turning point
I began to fight and learned to swim
Not against the tide, but instead to swim with it
I let myself get carried away from the rest
Because it doesn't matter what they think
Because I only need to prove myself, to myself
And that's what kept me afloat since then
