Tritagonist

In literature, the tritagonist (from Ancient Greek τριταγωνιστής (tritagōnistḗs) 'third actor') or tertiary main character is the third most important character of a narrative, after the protagonist and deuteragonist. In ancient Greek drama, the tritagonist was the third member of the acting troupe. As a character, a tritagonist may act as the instigator or cause of the sufferings of the protagonist. My love's greater
Than the finest wines
To your palette I speak
To taste and see how I'm good
I was the one to graft
You into the infinite vine
So why did you trade
New for old wineskins
Bread, juice, and nutrients were given
Life flow from unseen roots
Yet you still ask for a sign
From lonely pulp to fig
Clusters to my darling won
Yet all you want of me
Is an image hung from a tree
O muscadine, will you be ready
For the scuppernong
Tell the world how you want
To know my heart
But how often did you ignore me
When your husband embraced
And you shoved away, or when
A child cried not to depart
Do this to the least and you've
Done unto me, I told this truth
But reject the heart of the least
And then mine as well
You'll think this another rebuke
Aren't you a sinner in the hands of an angry
Vengeful God with soul held above hell
All I wanted was for you to accept
Your first love and mirror me
I'm not the whiner you believe me to be
I made a wine for you. How long will you sing
A refrain, a psalm of love when only singing
From your flesh masqueraded as spirit
When will you taste and see
That all I've ever had is love
For you, my muscadine grafted
Into my infinite vine
O muscadine, will you be
Ready for the scuppernong
My love's greater than the greatest wines
But when will you reject your prohibition
